One Journey Ends, Another Begins

We spent the rest of the day in Utila recovering, and going over all manner of everyday living advice and survival strategies for the next three months. The Gloriamaris's next charter arrived the very next day, so we had to absorb as much collected wisdom as we could, and replenish our supply of spicy-chicken-ramen soup cups.

We woke refreshed and ready the next morning, and led the way out of the anchorage. The Gloriamaris had a schedule to keep and an owner to meet, and soon passed us like we're standing still. We were both heading to West End Roatan, so The Parents were going to scout mooring availability before picking up the owner family.

We made the passage in a couple hours of motoring (the winds being both weak and contrary) and picked up the last available mooring in West End. Bryna did a fantastic job of driving Leap through the narrow entrance gate in big following seas. Thankfully, we already had an entrance track for West End from our July trip, but she would have rocked it all same.

Made it.

As an added bonus, we made some new friends along the way. We must have looked lonely all by ourselves halfway between Utila and Roatan, so a pod of dolphins decided to keep us company for a while!

Next time: actually starting to have fun!
